Services for Churie Mae Thompson of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Saturday, April 24, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church withburial in Siloam Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m., with family hourfrom 7:30-8:30 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Thompson, 88, died April 16, 2004, at Haven Hall HealthCare Center. She was born in Lincoln County on April 28, 1915, toSmylie Henderson and Mary Leggett.

She was disabled. She was a member of Macedonia MissionaryBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband,Herman Thomas; her second husband, Albert Thompson; a daughter,Bessie Mae Weathersby; a son, Bernell Gordon; a sister, MargieWilliams; and three brothers, A.J. Smith, Ira Smith and HarveyColeman.

Survivors are her daughters, Jessie Thompson of Jackson, andJanie Lenoir of Brookhaven; her sons and daughters-in-law, WillieA. and Victoria Thomas, and Daniel and Lillie Thomas, all ofJackson; her sister, Annie Chatman of Brookhaven; her brother andsister-in-law, Charlie and Earline Williams of Brookhaven; 11grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
