Services for Claire Emaline Ogden of Jacksonville, Fla., are 11a.m., Saturday, April 24, at Crosby Baptist Church with burial inOgden Family Cemetery in Crosby.
Visitation is Friday from 6-9 p.m., at Brown Funeral Home inGloster, and Saturday from 10:30-11 a.m., at the church.
Mrs. Ogden, 79, died April 18, 2004, at Orange Park MedicalCenter in Orange Park, Fla. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla., onMay 18, 1924, to William Edward Adams and Sarah Emaline McKinlayAdams.
She was a homemaker. She was a longtime resident of Crosby.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JamesVardaman Ogden Sr.; a daughter, Emalyn Elizabeth Ogden; and asister, Mabel Helen Danbrauskas.
Survivors are her children and their spouses, James VardamanOgden Jr. and wife Sandra of Tacoma, Wash., Gaye Diane Melton andhusband Mike of Brandon, John Adams Ogden and wife Sally ofBrookhaven, Cecilia Claire Odom and husband Rudy of Mandeville,La., and Susanne Caroline Core and husband James of Folsom, La.;her siblings and their spouses, John McKinlay Adams and wifeCatherine, Thomas Jaudon Adams and wife Bobbie, Nancy Dean Maddoxand husband Walter, Charles “Buck” F. Adams, George Edward Adamsand wife Mildred, Anna Eleanor Ingram, Glory Gaye Higginbotham andhusband David, Laura Isabelle Bryan and husband Jesse, and SarahCynthia McKee and husband Don; eight grandchildren; and twogreat-grandchildren.
