Services for Albert James “Shorty” Moore of Brookhaven are 11a.m., Saturday, May 1, at Old St. John Missionary Baptist Church inWesson with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m., at Tyler FuneralHome.

Mr. Moore, 39, died April 25, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Independence, La., on Aug. 29, 1964, toJammie Moore Sr. and Annie Bell Blue Brooks.

He was disabled and had been a truck driver. He had completed atrade in plastering at Mississippi Job Corps. He attendedBrookhaven Public Schools. He was a member of Old St. JohnMissionary Baptist Church.

Survivors are his mother, Annie Bell Blue Brooks of Brookhaven;his father, Jammie Moore Sr. of Utica; his special companion, DoraNewton of Brookhaven; his daughter, Tamika Moore of Jackson; hisgrandmother, Josephine Tucker of Brookhaven; his sisters, DoraBanks and Darlene Hooker, both of Brookhaven; his brothers, JammieMoore Jr. of Jackson, and Darryl Blue of Meridian; his stepsister,Ida Moore of Utica; his stepbrothers, Robert and Devont Moore ofUtica; and a host of nieces and nephews.
