Nonnie Mae Lambert Peavey
Services for Nonnie Mae Lambert Peavey of Jayess are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, May 19, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello withburial in Roberts Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5-9 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 a.m.until 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peavey, 90, died May 17, 2004, at Wesley Medical Center inHattiesburg. She was born in Lawrence County on Nov. 19, 1913, toWilliam Joseph Lambert and Elizabeth Ard Lambert.
She was a homemaker, and was a member of Antioch BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, threesisters, seven brothers and one stepdaughter, Ruby Thibodeaux.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Henry and KathrynPeavey of Jayess; her sister, Shelby Gunnell of Ruth; hergrandchildren, Kenny Peavey and wife Wanda of Columbia, and TonyPeavey and wife Patti of Olive Branch; her step granddaughter, JudyBeard and husband Kendall of Hammond, La.; her step grandson,Willie Holland and wife Jean of Hammond; five great-grandchildren;six step great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Ford Smith
Services for Ford Smith of Ruth were 11 a.m., Friday, May 14, atHarrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Providence BaptistChurch Cemetery.
Mr. Smith, 69, died May 12, 2004, at BeverlyHealthcare-Brookhaven. He was born in Lawrence County on Oct. 3,1934, to Sidney Smith and Agnes Peavey Smith.
He worked in the oil fields and was retired from Louisiana WellService. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He was anArmy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Oni Fay DavisSmith; and a brother, Thurman Smith.
Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and GeorgeMorgan of Pricedale, Debbie and Tommy Boone of Brookhaven, andDenise and Tony Clark of Ruth; his sons and daughter-in-law,Stephen Ford Smith and wife Kathy, and Brandon Smith, all of Ruth;his brother, Paul Smith of Monticello; eight grandchildren; fourgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were his grandsons, Ross Morgan, Jacob Morgan, DustySmith, Todd Burnes, Stephen Cliburn and Brandon Smith.
Isadore Smith
Services for Isadore Smith of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m.,Wednesday, May 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 4-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith, 76, died May 17, 2004, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on Nov. 6, 1927, to Harvey J. Smith and LottieMae Northern.
He was retired from Redd Pest Control and Tom Smith PestControl. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Mt.Zion Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Roland andIsadore G. Smith; and a great-grandson, Rubin J. Gill.
Survivors are his wife, Ernestine Smith of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughter and son-in-law, Violet Eldora Gill and husband James E.Gill of Bogue Chitto; his son and daughters-in-law, Ramon andStella Smith of Portland, Texas, and Pamela L. Smith of Bentonia;his brothers, Elmore R. Smith of Hattiesburg, and Edward H. Smithof Bogue Chitto; his foster son, Chester D. Sibley of Brookhaven;his special friends, Tom and Linda Smith, Charlie Johnson and manymore; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one fostergranddaughter.
