Services for Willie Bell Hemby of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Friday,May 21, at Corinth Baptist Church in Magee with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m., at Harrigill Funeral Home,and Friday from noon until 2 p.m., at the church.

Mrs. Hemby, 86, died May 18, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Magee on April 28, 1918, to W.J. Walker Sr.and Effie Bell Blair.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist minister’s wife. She was amember of Central Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, the Rev.W.J. Hemby Sr.; a son, W.J. Hemby Jr.; and five brothers andsisters.

Survivors are her daughter, Virginia Davis of Brookhaven; herson, James Ray Hemby of Brookhaven; her sisters, Juanita Herringtonof Clinton, and Mattie Nell Dye and Clara Bell Walker, both ofJackson; her brothers, W.F. Walker of Magee, and George Earl Walkerof Jackson; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and severalnieces and nephews.
