Services for John Everette Ham of Summit are 10 a.m., Friday,May 28, at Catchings Funeral Home Chapel in McComb with burial inJohnston Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 3-7 p.m., and Friday from 9-10 a.m.,at the funeral home.
Mr. Ham, 82, died May 22, 2004, at his residence. He was born inRuth on Feb. 9, 1922, to John Emory “Doc” Ham and Edwina GuyHam.
He was a retired mechanic for Great Southern Wirebound with over25 years of service. Following his retirement, he turned to farmingand raising a garden. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran,having served in the South Pacific. He was a recipient of thePurple Heart.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Myra ErlineSullivan Ham; two sisters, Gladys Maddox and Blanche Gullege; and abrother, Adron Ham.
Survivors are his daughter, Regina H. Kyzar of Brookhaven; hissons, Rodney Ham of Brandon, and Randy Thomas of Madison; hissister, Lucille Sullivan of Jayess; four grandchildren; threegreat-grandchildren; several nieces and many friends.
