Services for Charles R. McDonald of Bude are 11 a.m., Monday,June 14, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with burialin Midway Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is Sunday from 6-9 p.m. and Monday from 8:30-11 a.m.,at the funeral home.

Mr. McDonald, 78, died June 10, 2004, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. He was born in West Bend, Wisc., on Aug. 17,1925, to Charles Ralph McDonald and Elinor Merten McDonald.

He was a retired forester from the Georgia Pacific Corporation.He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. He was a World War IIveteran, serving as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. Hegraduated from the University of Michigan with a degree inforestry.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Jean Gallagher McDonald of Bude; hisdaughter, Kathleen McDonald Rose of Hazlehurst; his son, CharlesEdward McDonald of Tolleyville, Texas; his sister, Phyllis McDonaldTucker of Carmel, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Morgan KatherineMcDonald, Tyler Charles McDonald and Natalie Jean Rose.
