Services for Josie Nell Beard Rutland Lambert of Jayess are 11a.m., Saturday, July 3, at Jayess Baptist Church with burial inTopeka Cemetery. Catchings Funeral Home in McComb is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is at the church Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturdayfrom 10-11 a.m.

Mrs. Lambert, 66, died June 30, 2004, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in Jayess on April1, 1938, to Ethew Ivon Beard and Hazel Alexander Beard.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Jayess BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, Alcus DaleRutland; and two brothers, Charles Beard and Harold Beard.

Survivors are her husband, Joe Lambert of Jayess; two sons, RickRutland, of Atlanta, Texas and Todd Rutland of Hattiesburg; onesister, Joyce Jones of Natchez; two brothers, J.T. Beard ofBurksville, Texas and Bobby Beard of Ruth; four grandchildren; andnumerous nieces, nephews, family and other friends.

Services for Edward Earl Walker of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m.,Saturday, July 3, at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with burial inRosehill Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5-9 p.m., at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mr. Walker, 72, died July 1, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on July 16, 1931, to LonnieWalker and Chris Chandler Walker.

He was retired from owning C & W Sheet Metal. He was amember of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. He was also a member ofMasonic Lodge #260.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Louise Smith Walker of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and David Parker, and Cindy andSteve Yawn, all of Bogue Chitto; his son, Eddie Walker of BogueChitto; his sister, Earline Boone of Bogue Chitto; hisgrandchildren and their families, Lee and Allison Parker ofMissouri, Emily and Tommy Devito of Brandon, Grant and Sarah Yawnof San Antonio, Texas, and Drew Yawn of Bogue Chitto; hisgreat-grandson, Grayson Devito; and a host of nieces andnephews.
