Services for Lessie Mixon Weir of Port Gibson are 3 p.m.,Thursday, July 15, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial inRuth Cemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 1-3 p.m., at the church.

Mrs. Weir, 92, died July 12, 2004, at Claiborne County Hospital.She was born in Goss on May 31, 1912, to Theodore Ernest Mixon andSarah Eva Herrington.

She was a native of Marion County, but she lived in LincolnCounty for most of her life. She was a resident of Ruth for 60years before she moved to Port Gibson three and a half years ago.She worked as a seamstress for Stahl Urban Co. in Brookhaven formany years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband.

Survivors are her daughters, Mary Evelyn Trevilion of PortGibson and Frankie Clemts of Dunnellon, Fla.; her son, Elmo Weir ofKnoxville, Tenn.; her sisters, Eula Williamson, Lois Durio ofLafayette, La., and Nell Martin of Fernwood; 11 grandchildren; 20great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
