LAUREL — The Lumberton All-Stars kept their tournament hopesalive after eliminating Lawrence County 8-4 in the Dixie Pre-MajorsState Tournament Tuesday night at Lonnie J. Hosey Field.

Lumberton led 4-0 after one and 6-0 after two. It was 6-1 afterfour, 6-2 after five and 6-4 after six. Rashad Henry tripled twiceand singled for Lumberton, while Cord Rogers singled three times.Anthony Harry and Zach Cobb each singled twice.

Kody Lancaster went the distance and got the win.

Toby Smith singled twice and doubled for Lawrence County. TrentHartzog doubled and singled, while Justin Hewitt, Marty Ballard andZachary Summers all singled.

Evans was the starter and loser, while McKenzie Woods came on inthe fourth.
