Services for J.D. White of Monticello were 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug.8, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello with burial inBethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello.

Mr. White, 88, died Aug. 6, 2004, at Lawrence County Hospital.He was born in Oklahoma on Sept. 11, 1915, to James Lewis White andOma Della Asnby White.

He was a truck driver. He was a member of Seed Sowers inMonticello. He was an Army veteran with service in World WarII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wives, Ann MarieLuna and Tommie Jean Hall; four sisters; and his four brothers.

Survivors are his daughters, Lucille Arnold of Spokane, Wash.,Jennifer Pace of Sumrall, Nichole Ella Pease of Palmer, Alaska, andDorothy Vee Weil of Eagan, Minn.; his sons, J.D. White Jr. of Mesa,Ariz., Donald Wayne White of Jack, Ala., and Leroy White ofMonticello; his sisters, Pauline Sanford of Perris, Calif. andGladys Edison of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; 17great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
