Bad checks lead to women’s arrest

A Lincoln County Deputy on Friday arrested a Brookhaven woman on29 bad check warrants.
The warrants for Sharon Kaye Hogan, 34, of 401A Vivian MerritSt., were issued by the district attorney through JusticeCourt.
“They were all misdemeanors, so they would all be under $100each,” Calcote said.
The checks were written as long ago as 2002, he said, but a fewwere written in 2004.
Seventeen of the 29 checks were written to convenience stores,six to a grocery store, five to a take-out restaurant and one to aphysician, he said. All were written in the Brookhaven area.
