Graveside services for Lev Shaw of Meadville are 1 p.m.,Saturday, Aug. 21, at Mt. Olive M.B. Church Cemetery in Roxie. R.E.Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Shaw, 58, died Aug. 15, 2004, at his residence. He was bornin Franklin County on Nov. 24, 1945, to Janie Dean James.

He was a laborer at Franklin County Co-op. He was a member ofMt. Olive M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his mother; a brother, AbeWashington; and a sister, Neva D. Fox.

Survivors are his sisters, Ruby Brock of Greensboro, Ala.,Jeanette Pernell of Chicago, Ill., Sherry Stanford of Huntsville,Ala., and Stacey Rollins of Roxie; his brothers, Rudan Pernell, andAlvie Ray Pernell, both of Meadville and Mayes Pernell of Jackson;and a host of nieces and nephews.
