Services for James C. Morgan of Roxie are 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug.29, at East Roxie Church of Christ with burial in New Fork Cemeteryin Meadville. Bro. Issac Tenner will officiate.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. at MarshallFuneral Home in Bude.

Mr. Morgan, 67, died Aug. 23, 2004, at University Medical Centerin Jackson. He was born in Franklin County on Dec. 3, 1936, toJames C. Morgan and Rosie Lee Morgan Smith.

He was a retired truck driver and loved hunting and fishing. Hewas a member of Roxie Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, AlleanMond; his brothers, MacArthur Morgan and David Morgan.

Survivors are his wife, Katie R. Morgan; his step father, AlbertSmith; his sons, James Anderson of Jackson, and Jeffery Morgan ofSouth Carolina; his daughter, Willie Mae Everett and her husband,Fletcher, of Miami, Fla.; his five step children, Alec Fleming, andhis wife, Windia, Charlie Cameron, Blanchie Johnson, Dorothy Fordand Alice Jackson and her husband, Carl, all of Kirby; his sisters,Cansada Morgan, Faye Morgan, Mary Smith and her husband, Alton, andAlnetter Weathersby and her husband, Derrick, all of Roxie; hisbrothers, Ernest Morgan and his wife, Doretha, A.J. Morgan and hiswife, Geraldine, L.C. Morgan and his wife, Carol, Dexter Morgan andhis wife, Glenda, Milton Morgan and his wife, Sophia, all of Miami,Fla., and Roosevelt Morgan and his wife, Palestine, of Wildwood,Fla.,; his sisters-in-law, Peachie Morgan and Valarie Morgan; 11grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two aunts, Nancy Winter ofChicago, Ill., and Patsy Clark of Atlanta, Ga.; a host of nieces,nephews, and cousins; and his C.B. radio and fishing friends.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Lucas, D’Wayne Lucas, Volley Davis,Billy Smith, Joseph Taylor, M.L. Wallace, Charles Harris, AlonzoHarris and Brian Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Cameron, Alex Fleming,Billy Nelson, J.J. Harris, Randall Wilson and Marcus Nelson.
