Services for Jessie James “Pete” Cameron of Chicago, formerly ofAmite County, are 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, at Smithdale Church ofGod In Christ with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Peoples UndertakingCompany in McComb.
Mr. Cameron, 63, died Aug. 19, 2004, at West Suburban Hospitalin Chicago. He was born in Smithdale on Feb. 14, 1941, to O.G.Cameron and Earline Swanigan Cameron.
He worked for C.F. Consolidated Freightway in the shipping andreceiving department.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Gloria Faye Cameron of Chicago; histhree sons, Jessie Cameron Jr. and Gregory Cameron, both ofChicago, and Terry Cameron of McComb; his 11 sisters, Marie Jonesand Glenda Addison, both of Summit, Ruth Gayden and DorothyCameron, both of Liberty, Alice Blakey of Fort Campbell, Ky., EdnaPeavy, Katie Magee, Flora Cameron and Loria Reed, all of McComb,Vanessa Nathaniel of Smithdale and Ann Crimniel of Chicago; hisseven brothers, Isiah Cameron of Atlanta, Ga., Hosea Cameron, GregCameron, James Cameron and Herman Cameron, all of McComb, EdwardCameron of Gloster, and M.D. “Jessie” Cameron of Fernwood; twoaunts; one great aunt; three grandsons; one granddaughter; and ahost of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
