Services for Jean Leggett Smith of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 31, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church withburial in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Visitation is Monday from 5-9 p.m., at Brookhaven Funeral Home.A wake service will be held at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Smith, 51, died Aug. 28, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on Nov. 8, 1952, to Christine Sullivan Leggettand T.E. (Sam) Leggett.

She was a former employee of Trustmark Bank for 19 years. Shewas a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister; GingerWalden.

Survivors are her husband, J. Michael Smith of Brookhaven; herdaughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Duane Meilstrup, and Emilyand Matt Springfield, all of Brookhaven, and Shanna and James Adamsof Hazlehurst; her mother-in-law, Mildred Smith of Brookhaven; twonieces, Cathe Knott and Christi Walden; one nephew, Sam Walden; andseven grandchildren, Madeleine, Kathryn and Drew Meilstrup,Stephen, Ben and Emma Kate Springfield, and Lauryn Kinsey.
