WESSON – Two Wesson teens accused of breaking into six vehiclesduring the Wesson Attendance Center football game Friday werearrested on charges of auto burglary.

Daniel Furlow, 18, of 1057 Anderson Rd., and Alex Williams, 17,of 1193 Cain Rd., were charged with six counts of auto burglary,according to Wesson Police Chief Steve Carlisle. Other charges maybe pending.

“We’re still looking at some other things, but we haven’tcharged them with anything else yet,” he said.

Officers were notified of the burglaries around 10 p.m. Fridaywhen a vehicle owner left the football game and found a window hadbeen smashed.

Further investigation by Capt. J.J. Inman and Lt. Chad O’Quinnrevealed burglars had smashed the windows of four cars to gainentry. Two cars from which items were stolen items had beenunlocked.

Inman and O’Quinn questioned Furlow and Williams about theburglaries because of an incident earlier in the night.

“The two had been run away from the ball game for smoking, andthe officers decided to question them about the burglaries based onthat,” Carlisle said. “They admitted to it during thequestioning.”

Most of the items have been recovered, he said, but some cashand a CD player were still missing.

A hearing for Furlow and Williams was expected this morning.Bail was to be set at that time, Carlisle said.
