Services for Leila Busby of Brookhaven are 1 p.m., Thursday,Sept. 9, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in WellmanBaptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. at thefuneral home.

Mrs. Busby, 86, died Sept. 6, 2004, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Denver, Colo., on May25, 1918, to Fred Jantz and Carrie Koehn Jantz.

She was retired from Johnson Lawn Mower and was a homemaker. Shewas a member of Wellman Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MeltonBusby; and a sister, Marie Becker.

Survivors are her daughters, Martha Walley and her husband,Mike, of Brookhaven, Louise Cannon and her husband, Mike, ofBrookhaven, Donna Nations of Brookhaven, and Sandra White of BogueChitto; her sons, Freddie Busby and his wife, Vicky, of Ruth, JerryHolmes and his wife, Donnis, of Brookhaven, Henry Busby, and JohnBusby and his wife, Darlene, of Brookhaven; her grandchildren,Brian and Tonya Busby, Justin Busby, Stuart Busby, John Busby,Mandy Busby, Tiffany Busby, Stacy and Travis McNeese, DwayneCannon, Walter and Cindy Brister, Rhonda and Brandon Fugler, Cassieand Lance Williamson, Bradley Brister, Alyssa Nations and JoshNations, all of Brookhaven, Jessica and Jason Johnson ofMonticello, Jessica and Justin Scherer, T.J. and Jeremy Reeves,Elizabeth and Tiffany Champian, all of Ruth, Lisa Staggs ofLumberton, Alyson and Randy King of Ruth; 23 great grandchildren; aspecial nurse, Stacey Noble; and a number of nieces andnephews.
