WESSON — Perry K. Furr ripped a pair of triples Thursday nightto lead the Wesson Lady Cobras to a 4-1 division win over theMcLaurin Lady Tigers in girls slowpitch softball action.

Julie Berry was the winning pitcher with two strikeouts and nowalks. Lauren Cox was the losing hurler with three strikeouts andone walk.

Contributing to the Wesson win with a pair of doubles was SamEllison. Nikki McCardle doubled and singled. Collecting two singleseach were Summer Easterling and Stacy Lowery. Bethany Dykesdoubled. Hitting safely was Berry, Courtney Martin and AmandaRials.

McLaurin was led by Misty Lowery and Megan Wilson with twosingles apiece. Doubling was Molly Gordon. Hitting safely wereBethany Glass, Rachel Corley, Shelley Freeman and Dawn Smith.

Wesson hosts Piney Woods Tuesday for another division game. Thejunior varsity game begins at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at6.
