West Lincoln rallies by Enterprise

The West Lincoln Lady Bears rallied for five runs in the top ofthe seventh inning to pull out a 6-3 win division win over the hostEnterprise Lady Yellow Jackets Thursday night in girls slowpitchsoftball play.
Enterprise led West Lincoln 2-1 going into the seventh. The LadyBears collected five runs, including three home runs, for the 6-2lead, the Lady Jackets added one run to cut the deficit to 6-3 asthe game ended.
“We played six inning of pitiful offense,” said West Lincolncoach Andrew Redd. “We finally stepped up and pulled it out in theseventh inning. We stuck with it and played hard and won thegame.”
Posting the win on the mound was Brittani Phillips with nostrikeouts and three walks. Amanda Price absorbed the loss.
“This was a hard fought game,” said Enterprise coach SteveSasser. “You have to beat West Lincoln with your bats because WestLincoln has a good defensive team. My girls played competitive andaggressive in the game. I’m proud of them.”
West Lincoln (13-2, 4-0) was directed in the win by AshleyPalomarez with a home run, a double and a single. Also hitting ahomer each were Phillips and Heather Huff. Tripling was BritneeSmith. Hitting safely were Lauren Smith, Alicia Kennedy, CarrieFauver, Holli Smith, Kelsey Bass and Kacey Smith.
Enterprise got a homer and two singles from Kaylin Burke. AlishaMason tripled and singled. Singling were Kacey Rutland, AmandaPrice, Lynsey Everett, Jana Brister and Whitney Kyzar.
West Lincoln 6, Enterprise 6
Leading the Lady Jackets in the junior varsity game with atriple and a single was Samantha Richardson. Tripling was NicoleSandifer. Eric Rutland and Amanda Burke singled.
Salem visits West Lincoln and Enterprise is at Bogue ChittoMonday for a division games. The JV contests begin at 5 p.m.followed by the varsity at 6.
