Man shot following argument, police say

A Brookhaven man was transferred to a Jackson hospital afterbeing shot late Monday, police officials said.
Abe Glen Blue Jr., 20, of 618 E. Cherokee St., was shot in theleft wrist by “what appeared to be a high caliber weapon” followingan argument, Assistant Police Chief Nolan Jones said.
Jones said police received a call at 11:28 p.m. Monday that aman had been shot at a home at 520 S. Second St.
“When officers arrived, the victim had already been transportedto (King’s Daughters Medical Center) by private vehicle,” hesaid.
Blue was later taken by ambulance to a Jackson medical center,Jones said.
“They transported him, so I didn’t get to talk to him lastnight,” the assistant chief said today. “I’ll be getting back on ittoday.”
He said there is a suspect in the shooting.
“From all indications, he and a female had been in analtercation earlier, and she may have returned and shot him,” hesaid.
He said he hoped to learn more about the incident later todaywhen he is able to meet with the victim, Jones said.
