Services for Mildred P. Lane of McCall Creek are 2 p.m.Saturday, Oct. 9, at Cool Springs M.B. Church in McCall Creek withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home.

Mrs. Lane, 60, died Oct. 4, 2004, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital. She was born in Franklin County on June 29,1944, to Zack Thomas Jr. and Annie Lee Thomas of McCall Creek.

She was a graduate of Lillie Mae Bryant High School in Bude andwas a retired nurses technician at King’s Daughters Medical Center,where she had been employed for 29 years. She was a member of CoolSprings M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her father; a son, Thomas R. Lane;and two brothers, Henry Howard Thomas Sr. and James S. Thomas.

Survivors are her mother; her husband, Thomas G. Lane of McCallCreek; her daughters, Minnie P. Lane of Los Angeles, Calif., JossieM. Jackson of Lawton, Okla., and Dorothy N. Humphrey of McCallCreek; her sisters, Minnie L. Walls, Gladys M. Richardson, andGeneva Bennett, all of Bloomington, Ill., Barbara A. Tyler of LoydStar, Linda Martin of Lucien, Shirley Martin and Gwendolyn T.Williams, both of McCall Creek; her brothers, Thomas C. Thomas ofMcCall Creek, Luther Z. Thomas of Lucien, and Willie E. Thomas ofBrookhaven; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces andnephews.
