Services for William Shields of Lorain, Ohio, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, Oct. 13 at New Jerusalem M.B. Church with burial in NewZion Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Visitation is Tuesday from 1-5 p.m. at R.E. Tyler FuneralHome.

Mr. Shields, 93, died Oct. 4, 2004, at Avon Oaks Nursing Home inLorain. He was born in Redlick on June 27, 1911, to George ShieldsSr. and Lizzie Shields.

He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Local758 International Laborer. He was a member of Shiloah BaptistChurch in Lorain.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, ParrleeShields; a son, William A. Shields; a daughter, Willie Faye; abrother, George Shields Jr.; and three sisters, Annie Shields,Jossie Patton and Mary Boyd.

Survivors are his daughters, Jennell Chin of Lorain, and AlmaLewis of Cleveland, Ohio; his sons, Gilbert Shields and JamesShields, both of Lorain; his sister-in-law, Faye Imes; 17grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; five great-greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
