Services for Ray Charles Alsworth of Union Church are 3 p.m.Saturday, Oct. 23, at Hickory Block United Methodist Church inUnion Church with burial in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery in UnionChurch.

Visitation is 1-6 p.m. Friday at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home.

Mr. Alsworth, 46, died Oct. 19, 2004, at Central MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. He was born in Union Church on Aug. 10,1958, to David Alsworth Sr. and Hattie R. Alsworth.

He was a graduate of Loyd Star High School and a former employeeof Delphi Packard Electric in Brookhaven. He was a member of Mt.Moriah M.B. Church in Union Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Loretta Alsworth of Kentwood, La.; hisson, Timothy Ray Alsworth of Wohnpark, Germany; his sisters, EmmaOliver of Union Church, Shirley Smith of Jackson, and DelorisBallard of Ridgeland; his brothers, Bobby Alsworth of Fayette,David Alsworth Jr. of Union Church, and the Rev. Eddie Alsworth ofBrookhaven; and a host of nieces and nephews.

William Claude Covington

Services for William Claude Covington of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.Friday, Oct. 22 at Community Funeral Services Chapel with burial inEasthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Covington, 62, died Oct. 20, 2004, at King’s Daughter’sMedical Center. He was born in Brookhaven on March 31, 1942, toWilliam E. Covington and Edna M. Delaughter.

He was retired from Wal-Mart.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a son, ChristopherClaude Covington.

Survivors are his wife, Brenda Covington of Brookhaven; his son,Gregg Covington of Brookhaven; his stepdaughter, Chasity Cooper ofBrookhaven; his stepson, Joey Avants of Bogue Chitto; his brothers,Steve Ray Covington of Utica, and David Earl Covington of McCallCreek; his four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.

Hilda Montgomery

Services for Hilda Montgomery of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m.Saturday, Oct. 23 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church withburial in Norfield Bogue Chitto Cemetery.

Visitation is noon until 5 p.m. Friday at R.E. Tyler FuneralHome. A memorial service will be held 7-8 p.m. Friday at New ZionUnion M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto.

Mrs. Montgomery, 65, died of natural causes Oct. 17, 2004, ather residence. She was born in Bogue Chitto on June 5, 1939, toJ.C. Blackwell and Minette McGee Blackwell.

She was a graduate of Jackson State University and received hermaster’s degree from The University of Mississippi. She was aformer high school counselor at Biloxi High School. Mrs. Montgomerywas a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., the EucharistMinistry and the Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, JenniferK. Montgomery; her brothers, James C. Blackwell and GhannaBlackwell; and her sisters, Nelma Edwards and Mary Lou Brown.

Survivors are her son, Anthony Montgomery of Biloxi; hersisters, Mynell Holmes of Bogue Chitto, Elnora Dorsey of BogueChitto, and Velvelyn Foster of Jackson; her brothers, John WesleyBlackwell of Springfield, Mass., Matthew Blackwell of Jackson,William Blackwell and Levan Blackwell, both of Bogue Chitto; hisadopted brothers, Murray Lee Blackwell of Atlanta, Ga., and JamesS. Blackwell of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Justin andJordan Montgomery; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Regina Trunner of Detroit, Mich., are 11 a.mSaturday, Oct. 23 at St. Paul M.B. Church with burial in New HopeCemetery.

Visitation is noon until 4 p.m. Friday at Marshall Funeral Homein Brookhaven and 7-8 p.m. at the church. Saturday visitation willbe 9-11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Trunner, 39, died Oct. 11, 2004, in Detroit. She was bornin Brookhaven on June 17, 1965, to Cornelius Trunner Sr. andDoretha Trunner of Brookhaven.

She was a certified nursing assistant.

Preceding her in death were her father; and a brother, CorneliusTrunner Jr.

Survivors are her mother; her three sisters, Mary Trunner, TonyaPlunkett and Shalesia Turner, all of Brookhaven; one brother, JohnTrunner; three nephews; two nieces; and a host of relatives andfriends.
