Services for Gerald Edward “Smokey” Moak of Baker, La., are 10a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Baker Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Allenwill officate. Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. BobLynch Monday at 2 p.m. at Montgomery Road Baptist Church inSummit.

Visitation is Sunday from 5-9 p.m. and Monday from 8-10 p.m. atthe funeral home.

Mr. Moak, 68, died Oct. 21, 2004, at Lakewood Quarters NursingCenter.

He was a native of Lincoln County and served as station managerwith the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Barney and Eula BellAlbritton Moak.

Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Hokie Gajanof Mandeville; his three sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie Marieand Bonnie C. Graves of Memphis, Tenn., Nadine and Groves Wallaceof Bogue Chitto, and Shiela and George Brown of Bogue Chitto; hisgrandchildren, Jennifer Gajan Mier and her husband, Brandon Mier,Kristin Gajan, Megan Gajan and Alexis Gajan, all of Mandeville; hisgreat-granddaughter, Emma Mier of Mandeville; four nieces and fivenephews.

Pallbearers will be Glen Wallace, Alan Wallace, Kenneth Wallace,Brandon Mier, William Moak and Alton Gajan.
