Services for John E. Kenny of Brookhaven are 1 p.m. Saturday,Nov. 6 at New Hope M.B. Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. and with the familypresent from 6-7 p.m. at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home .

Mr. Kenny, 78, died Nov. 2, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 29, 1926, to OsbyKenny and Lula Mae Dunn Kenny.

He was a former supervisor in the paint department of GeneralMotors in Alameda, Calif. He was a member of the V.F.W. and servedin the Army. He had lived in California for 50 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Carrie LeeCain Kenny; a son, John Thomas Kenny; and his sisters, EarleanJohnson and Rachel Ann Kenny.

Surviving Mr. Kenny are Sharon Harris of Oakland, Calif., who heraised as a daughter; his brothers, Robert Kenny and Charles Kenny,both of Brookhaven, and James Kenny of McComb; his sisters, FloraKelly, Geneva Smith, Floretta Williams and Allarbrade Toines, allof Brookhaven; and a host of nieces and nephews.
