Services for Lucy Pate Braswell of Marrero, La., are 11 a.m.today, Nov. 12 at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello with burial inTilton United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Braswell, 88, died Nov. 9, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Jemison, Ala., on June 16, 1916, to Lum Pate and ElizabethPate.

She was a homemaker and a member of Powells Grove PentecostalChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JohnBraswell Sr.; one daughter, Lorraine Dykes; one son, Joe Braswell;and two grandsons, Al Dykes and Bucky Braswell.

Survivors are her daughters, Mary Nell Alexander of Fernwood,and Johnnie Dykes of Marrero; her sons, John Braswell Jr. (Jake) ofMarrero, and Edward E. Braswell (Bud) of Jayess; her sisters, AlfieBullock of Ruth, and Alma Bullock of Brookhaven; her brothers, A.C.Pate of Metairie, La., and Henry Pate of Brookhaven; 15grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and threegreat-great-grandchilden.
