Services for James H. Ahrend of Vicksburg are 11 a.m. Wednesday,Nov. 24 at First Church of Nazarene in Vicksburg with burial inGreen Acres Memorial Park in Vicksburg. The Rev. Kuhrman Cox willofficiate.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home inVicksburg.

Mr. Ahrend, 64, died Nov. 20, 2004, at St. Dominic/JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Copiah County to Johnand Leona Ahrend.

He was a resident of Vicksburg since 1961, and had retired fromBell South as a digital technician. He was a member of the FirstChurch of Nazarene, where he served on the church board.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers,Shirley and William “Hank” Ahrend.

Survivors are his wife, Wilma W. Ahrend of Vicksburg; his twosons, Freddy Ahrend and his wife, Bettie, of Richland, and RandyAhrend of Jackson; his sister, Louise Hearnsberger of Warren, Ark.;his two brothers, Ed Ahrend of Brookhaven, and Tom Ahrend of Pearl;his aunt, Edna Cupit of Tupelo; and his two grandchildren, KimGilmer and Will Gilmer, both of Richland.

Pallbearers will be Roger Fillebaum, Basil Arthur, John Ashley,Charles Rule, Bill Bagley and Lennell Clanton.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to theFirst Church of Nazarene.
