Alphonso Jones

Services for Alphonso Jones of Bude are 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26at Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church in McCall Creek withburial in St. Paul Cemetery in Quentin.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 5 p.m. at MarshallFuneral Home Chapel in Bude, and Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.at the church.

Mr. Jones, 39, died Nov. 19, 2004, at his residence. He was bornin Bude on May 17, 1965, to Henry Billy Jones Sr. and Mary BaileyJones.

He was a Wal-Mart Distribution Center forklift operator andshipper carline repairman.

Preceding him in death were his mother; his grandparents, Budand Ida Jones; his uncles, Leonard Bailey and Thomas Earl Jones;and his aunts, Bernice Jones and Ruby Jones Kendall.

Survivors are his father; his son, Chris Cameron; one sister,Edna Rollins; his four brothers, Henry Jones Jr., Julian Jones,Roderick Jones and John Newman; his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephewsand other relatives and friends.

Ruby Jones Kendall

Services for Ruby Jones Kendall of Indianapolis, Ind., are 1p.m. Friday, Nov. 26 at Cool Spring M.B. Church in McCall Creekwith burial in St. Paul Cemetery in Quentin.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 5 p.m. at MarshallFuneral Home Chapel in Bude, and Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.at the church.

Mrs. Kendall, 74, died Nov. 17, 2004, in Indiana. She was bornin Quentin on Feb. 28, 1930, to Bud and Ida Jones.

She was retired. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church inIndiana.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, onebrother; and a nephew, Alphonso Jones.

Survivors are her four sisters, Emma Johnson, Shirley Campbelland Alberta Robinson, all of Indiana, and Linda Moore of Bude; herthree brothers, Harry Jones of Indiana, Neal Jones of Kirby, andHenry Billy Jones of Bude; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,and other relatives and friends.

Jeffery ‘Jeff’ C. Prather

Services for Jeffery “Jeff” C. Prather of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.Wednesday, Nov. 24 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from 5:30-10 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Prather, 36, died Nov. 21, 2004, at his residence. He wasborn in Brookhaven on June 25, 1968, to Carroll Prather of BogueChitto and Joyce Thomas Childrey of Virginia.

He was a logger.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Analo and WaltPrather and T.J. Thomas; and one brother, Steve Prather.

Survivors are his wife, Kim Prather of Brookhaven; his twodaughters, Eden Prather and Stevee Prather, both of Brookhaven; hissister, Cindy Newman and her husband, Gabe, of Washington; hisbrother, Scotty Prather and his wife, Dee-dee, of Bogue Chitto; hisgrandmother, Opal Thomas of Wesson; his father-in-law andmother-in-law, Carroll Joe and Judy Gunnell; hisgrandmother-in-law, Jimmie Cross of Brookhaven; and a host ofnieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made tothe family.
