Services for Edith Goodson Lofton of Meadville are 11 a.m.Friday, Nov. 26 at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville withburial in Midway Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 8-11 a.m.at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lofton, 87, died Nov. 23, 2004, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. She was born in Franklin County on March 6,1917, to Alex H. Bonds and Pearl Aldridge Bonds.

She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Edgar T.Goodson and Claude Lofton; three sisters; three brothers; and onegrandson.

Survivors are her three daughters, Onnie Longmire and herhusband, Ronnie, of Meadville, Jo Schneyer and her husband, T.J.,of Bude, and Hilda Myers of Bude; her son, Phillip Goodson and hiswife, Eline, of Meadville; her stepson, James “Jimmy” Lofton, andhis wife, Martha, and their children, of McCall Creek; her sisters,Tiny Temple of Meadville, Pearl Marie Embry of Vicksburg, and GraceHelen Halford of Meadville; her brothers, Ralph Bonds of New PortBend, Calif., and Gerald Bonds of Baker, La.; 10 grandchildren; 13great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Justin Gauthier, Leroy Loflin, LynnWactor, Denver Goodson, Luke Johnson and Mickey Saucier.
