Services for Melvin Roundtree Jr. of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Wednesday, Dec. 1 at Willie Mae Tyler Memorial Chapel with burialin Siloam M.B. Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 5 p.m. at R.E. Tyler FuneralHome.

Mr. Roundtree, 68, died Nov. 25, 2004, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on June 21, 1936, toMelvin Lewis (ML) Roundtree Sr. and Rosetta Rancifer Roundtree ofBrookhaven.

He was a retired janitor at the University of Illinois inChampagne, Ill. He was a member of Second Baptist M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother; his daughter, Rosetta Brown ofBrookhaven; his sons, J.L. Roundtree of Florida, Arzell Roundtreeof Denver, Colo., and stepson, Paul Hill of Brookhaven; his sister,May Manning of Brookhaven; and a host of grandchildren, nieces andnephews.
