According to Wilson, the night clerk left the building justafter 2 a.m. and was confronted by two white men who emerged fromaround the corner of the building. The first man displayed a rifleand prompted the clerk to enter the store with him while the secondman stayed outside.
The clerk cooperated and the men left, Wilson said.
