Services for Chip “L.W.” Tanner of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. Friday,Dec. 31 at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in EastLincoln Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Spencer willofficiate.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until 2p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Tanner, 43, died Dec. 29, 2004, at G.V. “Sonny” MontgomeryVeterans Affairs Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Lelandon May 4, 1961, to Albert Calvin Tanner Sr. and Mary ElizabethGraham Tanner.

He was a truck driver and better known by his C.B. handle,”L.W.” He was honorably discharged from the Air Force. He was ofthe Baptist faith and attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church inSmithdale.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Teri Lyles Tanner of Brookhaven; hisson, Joey Tanner of Brookhaven; four stepchildren, Michelle Badeauxof Boutte, La., Regina Barber of Franklinton, La., Jim Smith andJoey Dykes, both of Mt. Hermon, La.; two sisters, Debi Mason ofCarthage, formerly of Brookhaven, and Brenda Baty of Hattiesburg;two stepgrandchildren, Matthew Badeaux and Abigayle Barber; aspecial friend, Leroy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
