Services for Mildred Short of Union Church are 2 p.m. Sunday,Jan. 2 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant HillCemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Short died Dec. 26, 2004, in Ruston La., after battlingParkinson’s Disease for many years.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Augden Walden Short.

Survivors are her daughter, Jane Anne Watson and her husband,Buddie, of Ruston, La.; her son, A.W. Short Jr. and his wife, Tess,of Fort Worth, Texas; her sister, LaVerne Viator of Delcambre, La.;her five grandchildren, Misty Anderson and her husband, Mark, ofHuntsville, Ala., Andy Short of Missoula, Mont., Matt Watson andhis wife, Brandie, of Lake Charles, La., Ammie Watson of Ruston,and Genna Egalnick of Fort Worth; two great-grandchildren, LaineyElizabeth Anderson and Matthew Augden Watson Jr.

Pallbearers will be Mark Anderson, Andy Short, Matt Watson,Wayne Smith, Owen Smith and Vince Smith.
