Bogue Chitto Attendance Center Principal Jerry Meador, on aleave of absence until the end of the school year, said Fridaychances are good he will not return to the school.

“I don’t think that I’ll be returning,” Meador said. “I don’tthink I will.”

He said he requested the leave of absence for medical reasonsbut would not elaborate.

Lincoln County School District Superintendent Terry Bristerconfirmed that Meador’s leave of absence request was granted formedical reasons but seemed hopeful the administrator would be ableto return when it expired.

“We don’t know. We’ll wait and see,” Brister said. “He’ll decidethen whether or not he’ll return.”

Meador has been the principal at Bogue Chitto for about twoyears.
