Services for Claude Everette “Buddy” Moak, of Bogue Chitto, were11 a.m., today, Feb. 14, at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel in McComb,with burial in Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. MikeMcKee and Tim Parker conducted the services.

Mr. Moak, 53, died Feb. 11, 2005, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Bogue Chitto onJuly 30, 1951, to Troy and Veda Grace Moak.

He worked for over 20 years at Homelite Textron in Brookhaven.He was a longtime employee of Mississippi Department ofTransportation, where he worked as a bridge inspector. He was alongtime member of Montgomery Baptist Church. He was a veteran ofthe Army, with service in the Vietnam War.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother-in-law,Jerry Dunaway.

Survivors are his wife, Darlene Studebaker Moak, of BogueChitto; his daughters, Valerie Michelle Moak and Beverly ReneeMoak, both of Bogue Chitto; his sisters, Sarah Adams, of Tulsa,Okla., Etta Fay Anderson and Winnie Nell Dunaway, both of BogueChitto; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Carroll E. and JaniceMoak, Curtis E. and Bonnie Lou Moak, Clyde E. and Bonnie Ann Moak,Calvin E. and Bernita Moak, Charles E. and Cynthia Moak, Clayton E.and Tracy Moak, and Clarman E. and Linda Moak, all of Bogue Chitto;his brothers-in-law, Larry Studebaker, of Sidney, Ohio, Lester”Butch” Studebaker and his wife, Terri, of Pleasant Hill, Ohio,Lawrence “Wally” Studebaker, of Covington, Ohio, and RogerStudebaker, of Piqua, Ohio; his mother-in-law, Goldie Studebaker,of Troy, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives;and a beloved family friend, Elaine Porter.

Pallbearers were Jason Moak, Rusty Moak, Rick Studebaker, ChrisStudebaker, Troy Moak and Steve Winborne.

Honorary pallbearers were Clay Roberts, Ray Simmons, GeorgePorter, Mike Winborne and Jason Studebaker.
