Services for Oma Lee Rutland, of Brookhaven, are 10:30 a.m.Friday, Feb. 25 at Providence Baptist Church in Lawrence Countywith burial in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Services isin charge of arrangements.
Visitation begins today at 5 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Rutland, 84, died Feb. 23, 2005, at Haven Hall NursingCenter. She was born in Lawrence County on Sept. 4, 1920, to DanielHampton and Jestice Thames.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, CabeRutland.
Survivors are her daughters, Juanita Beard, of Ruth, DoraNations, of Bogue Chitto, and Burnell Jackson, of Pearl; her sons,Danny Rutland, of Ruth, Buddy Rutland, of Prentiss, Larry Rutland,Harry Rutland and Pat Rutland, all of Ruth; her sisters, Eva NellFuller, of Brookhaven, Geneva Smith, of Pearl and Crystine Wilcox,of Madison; her brother, D.W. Hampton, of Richland; 12grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; 14 great-grandchildren; and twogreat-great-grandchildren.
