Services for Arline T. Brister, of Jayess, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, March 2 at Wilson Funeral Home with burial in TiltonUnited Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brister, 89, died Feb. 27, 2005, at McComb Extended Care.She was born in Lawrence County on Dec. 13, 1915, to HoustonTownsend and Mattie Thompson Townsend.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, James A. Carr;her second husband, Sam Reid; her sons, James Carr, J.D. Carr andTurner Carr; four brothers; two granddaughters; and twogreat-granddaughters.

Survivors are her daughter, Elaine Boyd, of McComb; her sons,Leon Carr, of Monticello, and Jack Reid, of Houston, Texas; hersisters, Juanita Griffith, of Monticello, Oudia Miller, ofMonticello, and Prudia Miller, of Brandon; 22 grandchildren; andnumerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Bertha Mae Adams Lenard

Services for Bertha Mae Adams Lenard, of Bogue Chitto, are 2p.m. Wednesday, March 2 at Moaks Creek Baptist Church with burialin the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home andWednesday from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Lenard, 94, died Feb. 28, 2005, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Oct. 21, 1910, to James Bailey Adams andMary Elizabeth Richardson Adams.

She was a dairy farmer and homemaker. She was a member of Moak’sCreek Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Floyd L.Lenard; her son-in-law, Gerald “Jerry” Crosby; two sisters; andfive brothers.

Survivors are her daughters, Mary Crosby and Betty Walters, andher husband, Melvin, all of Bogue Chitto; her sister, Betty Quin,of the Shady Grove community; three grandchildren; and sixgreat-grandchildren.
