Services for Amelia M. Rappold, of Hazlehurst, were 11 a.m.today, March 4 at Sylvarena Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst wasin charge of arrangements.

Miss Rappold, 85, died March 1, 2005, at Pine Crest Guest Homein Hazlehurst.

Miss Rappold was a native of New Orleans. She was a graduate ofMississippi College in Clinton. She worked for the Southern BaptistHome Mission Board (Rachael Simms Mission) in New Orleans. She wasa reading instructor at Ames Elementary School in Jefferson Parishfor about 20 years then she retired and moved to Wesson to livewith her sister. She taught Sunday School for many years in NewOrleans and in Wesson during her retirement. She was a member ofSylvarena Baptist Church.

Survivors are her sister, Mary Landress, of Wesson; and manynieces and nephews.
