Graveside services for Margaret Eitel Gilliam, of Covington,La., are 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at Rosehill Cemetery. HarrigillFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Gilliam, 88, died Dec. 17, 2004, at Christwood RetirementCenter in Covington. She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 26,1916, to Eugene Lewellyn Gilliam and Josephine Eitel Gilliam.

Miss Gilliam was a graduate of Brookhaven High School andWhitworth College. She was a legal secretary for Barnett Law Firmwhich later joined Montgomery, Barnett, Brown, Read, Hammond andMintz Law Firm, where she worked from Nov. 1950 to April 20, 1996.She served in the Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1945. Shewas Episcopalian.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, John HiramGilliam; and her sister-in-law, Mary Ernestine West Gilliam.
