Ole Brook Panthers fall to Terry, Magee

MAGEE — The Brookhaven Panthers couldn’t overcome an earlydeficit before falling to the Magee Trojans 11-9 in baseball actionSaturday afternoon.
In Friday’s game at Moyer Field, the Terry Bulldogs roared inand took an 8-3 division win from the host Panthers.
Brookhaven, coached by Randy Spring, falls to 2-6 overall and0-2 in division play. The Panthers travel to Jackson Tuesday tomeet Jim Hill at Battlefield Park.
Magee 11, Brookhaven 9
Magee broke open the game with a five runs, two earned, and tookadvantage of four Panther errors in the second inning to push itslead over Brookhaven to 8-1.
“Magee made the plays and we didn’t,” said Spring. “We have gotto get better as the season goes along.”
Ryan Herrington was the winning pitcher in relief of starterGabriel Alvarez who worked the first inning. Michael McGee sawaction in the seventh.
Credited with the loss was Josh Coone (0-2).
Garion Crockett powered Brookhaven with a home run and a single.MItchell Pappas singled three times. Collecting two hits was DariusPerkins,

Brant Hinton (0-2) absorbed. Adam Cook (2-1) captured the winfor Terry.
Perkins singled twice and had an RBI for the Panthers. Pappasdoubled and scored a run. Elliott Warren scored a run. Ripping twosingles each were Hinton, Grant McDonnieal and Crockett. Guy Orrsingled.
Terry was led by Jess Shelby with a triple, double and a singlefor 3 RBI. Anthony Dickson belted a triple and a single for tworuns. Cook doubled and singled for two runs.
