David Aldrich

Services for David Aldrich, of Hazlehurst, are 11 a.m. Thursday,March 10 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at StringerFamily Funeral Services in Hazlehurst.

Mr. Aldrich, 38, died March 6, 2005, at his residence.

He was a native of New Orleans and had lived in Hazlehurst forthe past seven years. Mr. Aldrich served in the Coast Guard. Heoperated a restaurant in Hazlehurst from 1999 to 2003.

Survivors are his wife, Faye Foreman Aldrich; his son, EdwardLouis Sanders IV, of Hazlehurst; his father, William CharlesAldrich, of Hazlehurst; his mother, Virginia Guillory Grant, ofHazlehurst; and his sister, Dana Broome, of New Orleans.

Joseph Luke Lea

Services for Joseph Luke Lea, of Baytown, Texas, are 11:30 a.m.Friday, March 11 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial inFriendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lea, 94, died March 6, 2005, at Renaissance Hospital inGroves, Texas. He was born in Brookhaven on May 24, 1910, to JosephDaniel Lea and Mollie Kimble Lea.

He retired in 1972 from Dupont in Orange, Texas. His hobbieswere gardening and shop work.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ina MarieCase Lea; eight sisters, M.L. Vaughan, of Port Arthur, Texas,Bonnie Mae King, Pinkie Applewhite, Mildred Fender, Mary LueRatcliff, Beulah Mae Weeks, all of Brookhaven, Elsie Sandifer, ofPort Arthur, and Grace Chapman, of Lucien; and two brothers, GeorgeLea, of Brookhaven, and Howard Lea, of Jackson.

Survivors are his daughter, Shirley Huff and her husband, L.G.Huff, of Baytown; three grandchildren, Connie Ellis and herhusband, Jim, of Huffman, Texas, Larry Huff and his wife, Gladys,of Liberty, Texas, and Terry Huff and his wife, Lisa, of Baytown;four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

John Carroll Ryan Jr.

Services for John Carroll Ryan Jr., of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Thursday, March 10 at Mt. Olive Methodist Church in Satartia withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home andThursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Ryan, 76, died March 7, 2005, at his residence. He was bornin Yazoo City on Dec. 6, 1928, to J.C. Ryan Sr. and Ester Mae KeenRyan.

He was retired from Exxon Distribution. He attended FirstBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers,Charles Ryan and Garvis Ryan.

Survivors are his wife, Imogene Ryan, of Brookhaven; his son,David Ryan, of Sevierville, Tenn.; his stepsons, Denny Lea, ofMadison, and Eddie Walls, of Harrisville; his stepdaughters, KathyDouglas, of Madison, and Judy Howard, of Brookhaven; his sisters,Wilma Bratcher, of Crestview, Fla., and Frances Sue Hall, ofVicksburg; his brothers, Willard Ryan, of Clinton, Alton Ryan, ofBrookhaven, and Jackie Ryan, of Jonesville, La.; and 10grandchildren.
