Services for Daniel Edwin Burns of McComb, formerly of BogueChitto, will be held Monday, March 14th at 10 a.m. at RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service Chapel in Brookhaven with burial at CalvaryBaptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 13th, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.,and Monday, March 14th, from 8 a.m. until service time at RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service.

Mr. Burns, 32, died March 12th at his residence. Mr. Burns wasborn March 29, 1972 to Don Keith Burns of Brookhaven and Diann BurtFlake of Bogue Chitto.

Mr. Burns was preceded in death by his grandparents, the Rev.Edwin Burns, Mrs. Aileen Raiford Burns, and Mrs. Beatrice “Bea”Burt.

Mr. Burns is survived by his parents; his loving wife, MelissaRoberts Burns of McComb; his sons, Jonathan Paul Burns of VirginiaBeach, Va., and Benton Blayze Burns of McComb; his stepsons,Cameron Blaine Roberts and Nicholis Brice Roberts of McComb; hisbrother and sister-in-law, David and Athena Burns of Bogue Chitto;his grandparents, Benton and Virginia Burt of Brookhaven; hisstep-parents, Nancy Burns of Brookhaven and David Flake of BogueChitto; his father and mother-in-law, David and Elaine Bailey ofMcComb; his brother-in-law, David Bailey of Flora; his nephews,Keith Burns of Bogue Chitto, Paul Bailey of Flora, Kris Bailey ofMcComb, and Will Brantley of Florence; his nieces, Eden Bailey ofBogue Chitto and Emily Grace Bailey of Flora; a host of otherrelatives; and many special friends.

Mr. Burns attended Enterprise and Bogue Chitto schools, where heplayed baseball, football and basketball, and Copiah-LincolnCommunity College. He also served as assistant baseball coach atBrookhaven Academy and Bogue Chitto schools.

Mr. Burns was employed for 15 years with Pickering/Engineeringand Associates as a surveyor and road and bridge constructioninspector.

Services will be conducted by Bro. Hal Hatten, Bro. HerbertSavelle, and Bro. Emon White.

Pallbearers will be Brad Martin, Chris Copallon, Joe DanLeggett, Chris Weekley, Mike Dunaway, John Bartrom, Ron Rushing,and John Nobles. Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Hanks, RandyEmfinger, Scott Leggett, and James Barker.
