Services for Harvey R. Sandidge Jr. of Wentzville, Mo., are 2p.m., Monday, March 14 at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Cold Springs Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, March 13 from 4-8 p.m., at the funeralhome.

Mr. Sandidge, 83, died March 10, 2005, at Parklane Care andRehabilitation Center in Wentzville, Mo. He was born in LincolnCounty on April 24, 1921, to Harvey R. “Rex” Sandidge Sr. andMinnie Butler Sandidge.

He was a retired shipping foreman from Diamond International. Hewas a veteran of the Army with service from 1940-1964. He was aveteran of World War II, where he received two Purple Hearts. Hewas a member of the Church of Christ faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Opal SmithSandidge; one son, Johnny Sandidge; and one sister, Clara MaeAllen.

Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne S. and KevinWicker of St. Peters, Mo., Lisa S. and Michael Melton, and Robin A.and George Latham, all of Natchez; his son and daughter-in-law,Ronald Jay and Kim Adams of Natchez; his sisters, Marjorie CaseSmith and Charlene Williams, both of Brookhaven; his brothers,Sidney Sandidge of Roy, Wash., and Billy Wayne Sandidge ofLexington Park, Mass.; 14 grandchildren, April Latham, ChristineLatham, Lee Latham, Misti Trigleth, Candi Adams, Kevin Book, RackyBook, Shannon Sistrunk, Garrett Coyle, Kasey Wicker, SamanthaWicker, Kristen Bradley, Ethan Melton, and Sarah Melton; eightgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
