Memorial services for John William Foster, of McCall Creek, are1 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 at Eddiceton Baptist Church. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Foster, 86, died March 28, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn in Bude on Jan. 8, 1919, to John E. Foster and Pearl E. ArtmanFoster.

He was retired from shipbuilding at Ingles Shipyard. He servedin the Navy from 1940 until 1948.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, Alice AmySampson Foster.

Survivors are his sisters, Ruby E. Todd, Calmetta Myers, JuanitaBarletta, Detress Wilson, Betty Gean Touchstone and Judith L.Hamilton; his brother, James Foster; and a host of nieces andnephews.
