Services for Rosa Glynell Coleman Pickett, of Southfield, Mich.,are 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at Brookhaven Living Word ChristianCenter with burial in Carver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 7 p.m. with family hour from6-7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Pickett, 88, died April 4, 2005, in Southfield. She wasborn in Brookhaven on March 18, 1917, to David Coleman and IsabellaJennings Coleman.

She was retired. She was a member of Spot Church, now BrookhavenLiving Word Christian Center. She was educated at Gulley HighSchool in Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ThomasJames “T.J.” Pickett Jr.; her son, Thomas James Pickett Jr.; hersisters, Lillian Brown, Henrene Welch, Ceina Lyons and MaryMullins; and her brother, Timothy Coleman.

Survivors are her four daughters, Judy Mattel Tyler, of WestHampstead, N.Y., Sharon Ann Pickett, of Detroit, Mich., Rose MaryWilliams, of Marlton, N.J., Gloria Jean Styles and her husband,Douglas, of Southfield; her sister, Edra Godwin, of Chicago; eightgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
