Freddie Davis Barlow

Services for Freddie Davis Barlow, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.today, April 15 at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inHazlehurst City Cemetery.

Mr. Barlow, 76, died April 12, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn in Carpenter on Oct. 6, 1928, to Walter Martin Davis and EttaJenkins Davis.

He was plant development manager for Movie Star Loungewear. Hewas a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Christine Woods Barlow, of Brookhaven;his sons, F. Maurice Barlow and his wife, Nita, and Carroll H.Barlow and his wife, Patsy, all of Brookhaven; his four sisters,Margie Barlow Hamilton and her husband, Harold Wayne, ofHazlehurst, and Sue Thomas and her husband, Roy, Willa “BillieCochran and her husband, Merlin, Wanda Hinton and her husband,Durwood, all of Beaumont; his three brothers, W. Ray Davis and hiswife, Patricia, Walter M. Davis, G.W. Davis and his wife, Elaine,all of Beaumont; six grandchildren, Bryan Barlow, Brooks Barlow,Christy Britt, Misty Barlow and Jonathan Barlow, Dwayne Brumfield;and six great-grandchildren.

Gynell Dickey

Services for Gynell Dickey, of Union Church, are 2 p.m. Sunday,April 17 at Hickory Block United Methodist Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from noon until 1 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Dickey, 76, died April 13, 2005, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Union Church on Dec. 22, 1928, toJewel Reed Sr. and Lentteen Reed.

She was retired. She was a member of Hickory Block UnitedMethodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, EmanuelDickey Sr.; her son, Emanuel Dickey Jr.; and her brother, JewelReed Jr.

Survivors are her son, John Dickey, of Fayette; her sister,Arcola Weaver, of Jackson; five grandchildren; and sevengreat-grandchildren.

Kenny Lee Gaines

Services for Kenny Lee Gaines, of Nashville, formerly ofNatchez, are noon Saturday, April 16 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church inNatchez with burial in Pine Hill Memorial Cemetery in Natchez.Marshall Funeral Home in Bude is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon at thechurch.

Mr. Gaines, 43, died April 8, 2005, in Nashville. He was born inNatchez on Feb. 23, 1962, to Annie Mae Bacon and CharlieGaines.

Survivors are his parents; his wife, Dorethea Gaines; hisbrother, Charles Gaines; his sister, Patricia Gaines; sevenchildren; 13 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and otherdevoted family and friends.
