Services for Alice Lucille Banks Evans, of Brookhaven, are 2:30p.m. Friday, April 22 at Macedonia M.B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from noon until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.
Mrs. Evans, 75, died April 17, 2005, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on May 26, 1929, to Butler Banksand Sweetie Banks.
She was retired. She was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church,where she served on the Mother Board.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her four sisters,Bertha Washington, Alberta Banks, Lena Mae Johnson and KatieReynolds; her seven brothers, Eddie Banks, Johnny Banks, Joe Banks,L.C. Banks, Robert Lee Banks, James Earl Banks and Jim Banks; andher husband, Thomas Samuel Evans Sr.
Survivors are her sister, Velma Robinson, of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Debra Moore and her husband, Clyde, of Jackson; her sons,Thomas Evans Jr. and Shawn Evans, both of Chicago, and FredrickEvans, of Brookhaven; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Thelma F. Johnson
Services for Thelma F. Johnson, of Wesson, are 11 a.m. Saturday,April 23 at St. Paul on the River Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Hazlehurst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson, 56, died April 17, 2005, at Hospice Ministries.She was born in Jefferson County on Oct. 30, 1948, to WillieFreeman and Mary Lou Kelly.
She was disabled.
