Services for Norma Elizabeth Thames, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m.today, April 26 at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inHawkins Chapel Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Mrs. Thames, 84, died April 24, 2005, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on March 31, 1921, to Memphis Nevels andSadie Ford Nevels.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of First MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, RoyceNevels; and a sister, Frances Webster.

Survivors are her husband, W. Ray Thames, of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Susan Thames Case and her husband, Sherrill, ofBrookhaven; her brother, Richard Nevels, of Brookhaven; hergranddaughter, Tammy Wilkinson and her husband, Roger, ofBrookhaven; her great-granddaughters, Brittany Wilkinson and herfiance, Grant Prestridge, of Brookhaven, and Heather Hutchinson andher husband, Jimmy Ray, of Monticello; onegreat-great-granddaughter, Gracie Rae Hutchinson, of Monticello;one special nephew, Mark Callender, of Pearland, Texas.
