Services for Isom Swann Ward of Monticello are 3 p.m. Sunday,May 8, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in ArmCemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Ward, 87, died May 6, 2005, in Monticello. He was born inArm on Sept. 25, 1917, to Sebron “Sebe” Ward and Emily WardWard.

He was a retired farmer and a jack of all trades. He was a highschool graduate. He was a member of Arm Baptist Church in Arm,Miss.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, DamieMarie Ward Harvey and Sabie Sadie Ward Davis; two brothers, CephusBruce Ward and Tarvey Vinton Ward; and a grandson, Ramondo ClayBuffington.

Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Ollie Mae Dyer Ward; twodaughters, Alma Ilene Buffington of Hattiesburg and Angela WardGarrett of Monticello; one son, Cecil Swann Ward of Monticello;three brothers, Thomas “Tom” Conn Ward and Zolon Chapman Ward, bothof Silver Creek, and Toxie Hall “Cotton” Ward of Monticello; ninegrandchildren, Ramona Neal, DeeDee Barnes, Tony Buffington, ChrisBuffington, Stanley Buffington, Bridgette Buffington, RyaneGarrett, Rhianna Garrett and Yvette Speights; ninegreat-grandchildren, Jarod Neal, Laden Neal, Dillan Barnes, DawsonBarnes, Chris Buffington Jr., Chrisanna Buffington, RebeccaBuffington, Warren Buffington, Emerald Buffington, Whitney Lambertand Morgan Speights; and many other relatives and friends.
